Installation

When you insert your mindSCOPE install CD this splash screen will automatically pop up. In the lower right portion of the screen is a list of the components and supporting options to choose from, as well as the order in which you should install them.

If your Autorun feature does not work and you do not see the screen above please follow these steps:.

Whether one of our representatives performs your software installation for you or guides you through the
process remotely, this section walks you through the details of the install process so that you can be familiar with the steps involved.

The various components that need to be completed are:

Installing MS Data Access Components
Installing mindSCOPE
Authorizing a mindSCOPE License

1. Click on your Windows Start button and then Run
2. In the Run dialogue box click on This will pop up the Browse dialogue box.
3. Double-click on the CD drive icon which shows the mindSCOPE install CD name
4. Within the root of the CD you should see the set up file. Click on it and press

Your PC should now display the mindSCOPE Install splashscreen.

Installing MS Data Access Components

Unless you are running Windows 2000 you must install MS Data Access Components before you can install mindSCOPE. Without the Data Access Components you cannot access your database within mindSCOPE.

The InstallShield wizard prepares your PC for set up.
1. To begin click on
2. When the InstallShield is ready it will show you this screen. Click on to continue.

The InstallShield will install the necessary components onto your computer.

In some cases you may need to reboot your PC for the changes to take effect. If you see this message below click on Restart System

Installing mindSCOPE

Note: Unless you are running Windows 2000 you must install MS Data Access Components before you can install mindSCOPE.

Before you can install mindSCOPE you must agree to the terms detailed in the software license agreement.

1. Once you have read it over click on the "I accept..." option if you agree to the terms.
2. From the mindSCOPE splashscreen click on This screen may or may not pop up. If it does, click on to begin the installation.
3. This will enable the button. Click on it.
4. Click on the configuration of your choice, both above and in the InstallShield dialogue box.
5. Now that you have determined your settings you can click on Next.

The InstallShield will show you its progress as it installs mindSCOPE.

6. The last step of the installation is to click on the Finish button.
