You can configure your web integration in the following ways:

Checking for Duplicates:

If an entry has been sent twice then the second one will be rejected automatically, and only one record will be downloaded to the datase, even if you selected both records. If, however, the records are almost idebntical (e.g. same names but different addresses or contact numbers) then they will be treated as separate records and you will have two entries with different information.

1. From the Web ON-LINE dialog box's menu bar click on Options.
2. From Options select Check for Duplicates on Download if there is no checkmark beside it.

Customizing the View

You can configure the layout of your web integration similar to the way in which you would configure mindSCOPE's customized reports (For more information on mindSCOPE's reports please refer to the System Administrator manual). By changing the configuration you will change the way your results appear in the Web ONLINE dialog box. This will have no effect on the fields that are in your web page.

1. From the Customized Candidate Online View dialog box's menu bar click on Admin, and then on Customize Layout.

Setting up Online Editing

You can also configure your system so that when you view the data in the on-line view window you can edit ONE of the fields before you download it into mindSCOPE. As an example let's imagine that your company has two offices: one in New York and one in Los Angeles. Each office is only concerned with candidates that reside within its half of the country.

As a way of directing the data that comes in from the web you could set the City field as "Updatable." This means that you could change the entries for that field in the online viewer to be either Los Angeles or New York. This city field becomes a flag for the two offices. The New York office will then only download those entries
marked as New York, and the Los Angeles office will do likewise.

1. To make a field updatable right-click on the desired field and select "Allow Online Editing" This will change the Updatable field to "Yes."
